VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN(VAC) is a major public health problem & child rights violation; includes children who are deprived of nutrition, and education, child neglect, high prevalence of child trafficking, child labor, physical, sexual, and emotional abuse & a range of violence such as child marriage, etc leads to huge ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES (ACE). Children who grow up with ACEs develop a range of short-term & long-term health consequences & a range of adult-onset non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, COPD, post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD), depression, substance misuse & mental health disorders

To create and disseminate an educational program to enhance capacity of pediatricians, doctors, allied professionals, teachers, care givers and parents to prevent and respond to such cases of VAC. In this program, IAP shall be training 250 pediatricians and allied doctors through five Zonal Training of Trainers (TOT) workshops (50 doctors per zone), where each trained doctor commits to conduct a minimum of two training in their regions, with the aim to support development of master trainers and experts in the field of child protection.

Patient Education materials will be created and disseminated in forms of videos and screening tools in english and the 10 major Indian local languages to be made available on the web, mobile and social media destinations for teachers, police, legal professionals, frontline health workers, children, Government and Non-Government Organizations, extended families and parents.
